Velindre Cancer Charity is the official charity of Velindre University NHS Trust, incorporating Velindre Cancer Services and the Welsh Blood Service, we stand together to deliver expert cancer care and support to patients across south-east Wales.
At Velindre Cancer Charity, our ambition for the future is to enhance the lives of cancer patients, carers, and families in Wales by funding innovative projects and services that extend beyond NHS provisions.
We are proud to champion person-centred care, placing the dignity, comfort, and emotional needs of every patient and loved one at the heart of what we do and fund.

Velindre Cancer Service
Velindre Cancer Service is a leading provider of non-surgical, tertiary oncology services, dedicated to delivering expert cancer care to patients across south-east Wales, serving a population of 1.7 million.
As part of Velindre University NHS Trust, we are committed to excellence in treatment, teaching, research, and development, ensuring the highest standards of care for those affected by cancer.
Our flagship facility, Velindre Cancer Centre, located in Whitchurch in Cardiff, is one of the largest and most respected cancer centres in the UK. We specialise in chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy and palliative care, offering cutting-edge treatments and compassionate support to our patients.
In addition, we extend our services through our outreach units at:
- Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny
- Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil
- The Nantgarw Support Unit
